Every creation has a story behind it...
...behind mine there is an entire world.
My story didn't begin at an art school. As a child, I attended drawing classes, just like many others, but back then, nothing suggested that creating art would one day become such an important part of my life.
The turning point came after secondary school, when I was studying publishing and layout design. During one of our drawing classes, our teacher told us a story about an elderly man who planted trees. Our task was to draw an illustration based on what we had heard, entirely freehand.
So I drew it.
When my mother saw it, she was deeply moved that I had managed to create something I hadn't even believed I was capable of until then.

"The drawing that started it all..."
Perhaps that was the moment something awakened within me. Something that has stayed with me ever since.
I never went on to study drawing through formal art education. I simply began creating. I observed, experimented, made mistakes, started over, and learned something new with every drawing.
Today, I feel at home in more than just the world of graphite.
I love the interplay of colours, the freedom of painting, the natural beauty of wood, and that special moment when something truly is born from an ordinary object.
I don't always express my thoughts or feelings through words. Sometimes, the lines of a pencil, the strokes of a paintbrush, or the smallest details burned into wood can tell a much deeper story.
With every creation, I strive to give my very best. But just as importantly, I want every piece of my work to carry something personal: a thought, a feeling, a story.
SolyaDecor is my own little creative world. A place where curiosity, imagination, and the work of my own two hands come together...
...because I believe that talent sometimes reveals itself in the most unexpected moments. All it takes is a story, a pencil, and someone who sees something in us that we have yet to discover ourselves.
I'm so glad you stopped by to explore my little world. I hope you find something here that speaks to you, too.
With love,
Solya
